Land Mines Book Launch Party

  We had a great book launch party for my novel, Land Mines, on Feb. 6 at the Law Offices of Robert T. Vance, Esq. -- my little brother and law partner.  He kicked off the formal part of the party with a very nice introduction of me, the sister who poked his innocent, newborn self in the eyes when he first came home from the hospital; so, I guess he forgave me.  Anyway, thanks to all of my friends who came out.  They didn't have to do it, but they did, and I so appreciate it.  Now that we're off and running, enjoy some of the pictures.  (See others in on the photo album page.)

Be Your Own Valentine: 5 Keys to Rebuilding Confidence, Humor and Optimism After Divorce

That's been the topic of the radio interviews I've been doing this week in advance of Valentine's Day and in promotion of my novel, Land Mines. 

Here's what I say are the 5 Keys to Rebuilding Confidence, Humor and Optimism After Divorce:

1) Love yourself

2) Believe that your best days are ahead of you

3) Engage in self-reflection (journaling is a great way to do this)

4) Read self-help books

5) Have faith.

President Obama as my kind of man

I'm quoted in today's Philadelphia Daily News about President Obama as role model/sex symbol/the type of man we ladies want.  It's in Jenice Armstrong's wonderful column.  Check it out at http://www.philly.com/dailynews/features/39129282.html.  Below are the photos of what I mention in the column. I took them at the Biden Home States Pennsylvania and Delaware Inaugural Ball, where I stood right down front with an unobstructed view and a 12x zoom camera.  I'll post more photos this weekend when I do my official Inauguration blog.  I've been really busy since the inauguration.  Besides my full-time job, I've been preparing for my book launch party for my novel, Land Mines, tomorrow, Feb. 6, at my office.  Anyway, enjoy the photos.  Peace. --SV
